Maple Shade is a historic home in the middle of the Town of Sussex. Located on Church Ave., a one minute walk from Main Street, the Victorian style home was built in the mid 1850′s. Built by one of Sussex’s early lumber barons, Maple Shade was the family home of the first Mayor of Sussex, William McKay, when he was elected in 1904.
